How to Squirt

Want to learn more about squirting and maybe try it out for yourself?

As with all things related to sex, this is a learning journey. Here are a few tips to get you started:

  1. Relax - Just like with a regular orgasm, worrying or feeling anxious can make it difficult to climax and can make sex less enjoyable. Try not to stress too much about the end result, it’s all about the journey, after all!

  2. Locate the G-spot - Squirting usually involves stimulation of the G-spot, a sensitive area about two inches into the vagina. If you or a partner put a finger inside your vagina, the G-spot will feel like a little bump on the upper wall. This is what you want to focus on stimulating.

  3. Stimulate the G-spot - You can experiment with different ways of pushing and rubbing this area. Your G-spot will begin to swell, which will make squirting much easier. The length of foreplay you need to squirt is something you must figure out yourself through trial and error. You can press, rub and massage your G spot while using the come-hither motion or magic hook squirting technique.

  4. Masturbate - Research suggests that people may find it easier to squirt from masturbation than from sexual intercourse. Self-pleasure is a useful way to explore what feels good and gives you time to focus on your own experience.

  5. Let go - It might feel like you need to pee, although not entirely intuitive, this is actually a sign that you're getting closer. Because the initial sensation can be similar to needing to pee (at least for first-timers), you need to be pretty relaxed to let it all go.

  6. Pull out - Interestingly, research has found that for some women, squirting happens as fingers/toy or penis come out of my vagina.

  7. Try different sex positions - Change things up with your partner, try some positions that offer deep vaginal penetration, such as reverse cowgirl or being penetrated from behind.

  8. Try it in the shower If you want to make cleanup even easier, try squirting in the shower. This way, everything will wash away down the drain as you squirt.

  9. Use sex toys - Introducing toys can help you experience pleasure in new ways. Toys come in a range of shapes and sizes and can offer deeper penetration or stimulate the clitoris. You can use toys on your own, or you may want to use them as part of intimacy with a partner.

  10. Hydration Matters - Staying well-hydrated is important, as it can influence the amount and consistency of the fluid produced.
